The unconscious, the past and trauma

We are born into this world, and to varying degrees, our caregivers, the culture we grow up in, and our environment reflect back who we are. For some, our true selves are mirrored, allowing us to grow and flourish. However, many of us experience limitations or outright trauma, making it difficult to be who we want to be and to live the life we desire. I can support you in grieving or coming to terms with your past hurts or trauma.

Roles, identifications and ‘I’

I support you to get to know your inner workings so that you can understand and gain freedom from your usual patterns, roles and identifications. We’ll celebrate the inner diversity that makes you, uniquely you whilst supporting your capacity to make new choices about who you are and what you do.

Self

The psychosynthesis approach acknowledges the timeless aspect of our being, our spiritual depth or Self. Our deeper Self reveals itself not only through moments of love and joy but also in the depths of pain and grief. It’s in these moments that we may recognise a call from Self towards a deeper purpose. I aim to support you to see where you may be being called to grow in your life.

Social context, family systems and intersections

The psychosynthesis approach acknowledges the impact of external forces on our experience such as our social context and systemic factors. Our various identities, including sex, race, gender, neurodivergence, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and physical health, often encounter significant barriers to self-expression and personal growth. We may experience oppression, discrimination, or exclusion.
